Ken Rosewall won 8 Grand Slam singles titles across a remarkably long career, reaching his last major final at the 1974 US Open at age 39. He lost several of his best years of Grand Slam eligibility as a touring professional before the Open era began in 1968, and is regarded as one of the finest backhands and most durable competitors the sport has produced.
